Also known as the Snow Panther, the Snow Leopard, lives principally in the high mountains. They can be found in central Asia & central Siberia, and in the Altaï Mountains. This medium size feline has short legs and a long tail - that could measure up to a metre long, which is about half its body length. This tail plays a primordial role in maintaining the cat's balance, as well as protecting it from the cold as it sleeps.
