The Virginia deer is a mammal of the deer family, originating in America. Its large eyes perceive everything that moves in its vicinity. It possesses a highly sensitive sense of smell that allows it to detect scents up to 90m away from their source. It lives principally in the Rocky Mountains, in the forests, marshland and clearings, and feeds on plants and fruit.
