Rhinoceros Calf

The rhinoceros baby is born after a gestation of 450 days, weighing between 25 to 40kg. In the space where its horn will grow, there is a thickness of a few centimetres, a round mark. The mama rhino will nurse the baby for about 2 years and protect it from predators. The female babies stay with their ma until about 5 yrs old, and the males until about 8 yrs!
