A symbol of loyalty in Asia, the Mandarin Duck is a species of waterfowl, part of the anatid family which lives principally in the East of Siberia, in the north-east of China, Japan, Taiwan, or also in Korea, although they can sometimes be found in Europe. The males are easily recognisable, thanks to their colour, but also to the shape of their wings, before mating season. Once the mating season has passed, their beautiful plumage disappears and becomes like that of the females - duller.
