Best seller for 1-3 year olds!
I cannot say enough good about these puzzles! A great step up from the single piece peg puzzles. I personally have used them with my 1 year old nephew, but I'd recommend starting these somewhere between 12 months and 18 months depending on the child.
2 or 3 piece puzzles, made of sturdy cardboard, with nice vibrate pictures, of fun recognizable animals. These puzzles introduce children to basic interlocking of puzzle pieces and also act as a beginner matching game. Find the head of the zebra, then the tail, then use two hands to interlock the pieces. My nephew enjoyed opening the box, taking out the pieces, doing it over and over, then closing it back up. (The box was half the fun!) He is now two and a half years old and still does it regularly, as well as his 60 piece puzzles.
When introducing this puzzle to the child, I'd recommend sitting with her or him, and guiding them through the matching process, then the interlocking process... then letting them go as you see them start to understand. So much fun! One of my favourite products to recommend for children 1 and up!! |
